I was heading off somewhere with my sitar the other day and this South Indian lady who lives on my floor was also waiting for the elevator. She looks at my sitar case, which is the exact shape of a sitar except bigger - no let me explain further it is about five feet in length; it begins as a narrow rectangle and at about 3 and a half feet turns into a big round...just look it up on google and you'll know what I mean - so anyway, she looks at my case and says "is that piano?".

A piano?

I am confused whether this is a joke, or something, I don't know - I am confused. So I say "No, it's a sitar" making sure to enunciate properly, now thinking hey this lady is brown the bells of recognition are going to be ringing now for sure! But she goes "Oh, guitar" and looks away disinterestedly.

I was so hotobhombofied I didn't know what to say.

The fact that you refrained from hitting her across the head with your sitar case is a testament to your self control :P
