Can't Live Without 'em!

I bought a laptop backpack! It's, I'm telling you, gravity-defying or something! I can barely *feel* BlueButtons!

Asif Bhaiya called today and told me about this big surprise reunion thing on the weekend of Oct 15th that they're going to do at my parents' place and told me to go over to Jersey as well, and when I said I was totally broke, he went all "what are big brothers for" on me and said he would get me my ticket :) Which I thought was really sweet. A true big-hearted leo! I'm debating about this one, mainly because I have two term papers due the following week. But the reasons for going are numerous:

1. My parents are still a little "cold" with me since the Washington-New Jersey Episode, and a surprise visit would do heaps to bring things back to normal.
2. The 15th is nanabhaiya's death anniversary and it would be really nice if I could be with Ammu on that day.
3. It's a family reunion, and my family is really fun and loud so it oughta be just as much fun as the Cousins-Reunion last December!

I still need to think about it. I need to think about whether I will actually write not one, but two papers a week earlier than they're due. I mean I know this is possible for normal people, but this is me we're talking about and we all know I have a problem with deadlines.

I've been reading Emerson's Self Reliance, and a lot of stuff written by Tagore (it feels so odd calling him that, it somehow lacks ger-bity {gravity, which benagli people say to mean depth} as abbu would put it, that you get when you say Robindronath Thakur but Kathleen O'Connell is getting to me it seems) about his thoughts on education. So really, I'm reading a lot of philosophy and all I've got to say is that my daily tea intake has increased.

We found Greg's Ice Cream parlour again after they mysteriously dissappeared at the beginning of the summer, taking with them the most delicious Green Tea Icecream ever made! They just moved down the block from where they were, not to China Town, but to Spadina & Bloor. Must get a tub before it gets cooler (we have already started using heat *sigh*).

Ok, I'm off to study so that I can watch the Smallville season premier guilt free!

new jersey - go! Isn't that a long weekend? Oh well, regardless - you should go! A free trip and mollifying the parents? It's a fantastic idea!
